The three higher layers
Level 5 — Orchestrate: validated cross-system records, approved routine workflows and reporting.
Level 6 — Understand: ask questions conversationally; responses identify their source, time window, metric definition, permissions and uncertainty.
Level 7 — Forecast and plan: compare demand scenarios, timing, preorders, service capacity and staffing requirements. Forecasts need a baseline, backtesting, coverage checks and uncertainty intervals; recommendations remain reviewable proposals.
Level 4 remains approved rule-based response. Planning and suggestions do not silently change staffing, pricing, access, equipment or campaigns. Preorders may shift work in time; eliminating a staff position is not an assumed outcome.
Separate service: demand generation
Seasonal events, birthday/catering offers and newsletters can use approved aggregate insights. Campaign strategy, creative production, commercial offers, audience consent, sending and performance measurement require a separate scope and approval. No named campaign or alcohol offer is endorsed by this report.
Assessment rules
Score equipment capability, installed effectiveness and operational intelligence against the relevant goal, each −10 to +10. Unknown remains null/gray. Do not infer an autonomy level from the numeric average: the applicable evidence gates must be passed and reviewed.
Equal-weight readiness can be calculated only when all three axes are verified: 100 × (average score + 10) ÷ 20. Priority, business risk and scope are separate fields. Existing client scores and project package prices remain unchanged.
